About Daniel Fokker and Orbis Neo
Good choices start with a clear picture of the facts. I map the complexity in your organisation, translate it into an executable plan and help carry it out. We agree up front how we will measure cost and impact.
Why my background is relevant right now
A combination that grew over time
I have twenty-five years of experience in areas where AI is changing how organisations work: IT delivery and software development, IT operations and management, enterprise architecture and IT financial management. My work has also covered organisation design and workforce planning. The combination grew because each step in my career led me to an adjacent challenge.
This combination helps leadership teams of mid-market and larger companies right now, because AI affects several domains at once. You need someone who sees how the pieces fit together: how a choice in IT operations ripples through into financial management, how an AI platform in delivery affects HR policy and how architecture decisions made today shape your room to manoeuvre later.
Enterprise architecture is the thread running through my work. The discipline looks across domains by design, so I can help one area adapt while keeping an eye on the whole as your organisation changes.
How I work
Interim and part-time, always with an endpoint
I work as an independent adviser through Orbis Neo. My preferred way of working is interim or part-time: senior support for an agreed period, with a clear endpoint and a handover to an internal owner.
That fits my clients. Leadership teams of mid-market and larger companies want an adviser who understands their situation and structures that hold up after I leave. That is what my work is aimed at.
For specific depth or extra capacity, I work with a network of professionals I bring in when needed.

About the name: Orbis Neo
Orbis Neo comes from Latin and literally means ‘new circle’ or ‘new world’. The name fits what I do: helping organisations in the middle of a technological shift make the way they are run workable again. The circle in the logo stands for completeness and coherence: keeping sight of the whole while its parts are in motion.
